**BSL REPEALED**
I confirmed with the city clerk in LIBERAL, KANSAS that the city commission UNANIMOUSLY voted to repeal their 32-year-old “pit bull” ban on Tuesday night.
As previously noted, the change was brought to the city by animal control with the acknowledgment of the failures of their current ordinance, as well as noting that more and more cities are moving AWAY from breed-specific legislation (BSL) such as pit bull bans and regulations. The replacement ordinance will target behavior and not breed.
Good on ya, Liberal. It took 32 years, but better late than never!
