Dalton J. Goodwin III – WA Dalton has been involved with the American Pit Bull Terrier since the age of 8, showing in Junior Handler classes in his home club in Washington. At the age of 12, he acquired his own dog Shawnee and has shown her to her Grand Champion I title, with the highlight being the “Best Puppy” award received at the 2001 Nationals held in Louisiania under the judge of Hank Greenwood, at 13 years of age. Dalton has assisted within his own club as a ring steward, doing registration, weight pull set up, as well as other jobs. When traveling to shows, he is always willing to lend a hand. He is becoming a regular at the Beaver State, Western Canadian, British Columbia and California clubs shows. In addition to his dog club affiliations, Dalton has been involved at his high school with the Drama department, bowling team, and band. Dalton has aspirations to attend Washington State University and complete a degree in Veterinarian Medicine. He has been preparing through high school by taking challenging classes like AP Calculus and AP Literature. Dalton states, “I have great goals for my future as well as for my future career. I love animals and that is why I want to pursue Veterinarian Medicine for my career. I have been involved with the dogs my whole life. I would like to be an officer of an ADBA club as well as an ADBA judge.”
