2025 ADBA Scholarship Winner – Sharina Wolfe

2025 ADBA Scholarship Winner

ADBA’s Leaders of the Future Scholarship is awarded to an individual pursuing higher education as a part of their life goals. Qualified applicants are required to be knowledgeable and experienced with the American Pit Bull Terrier and to have displayed leadership in their community, school or local ADBA club. Applicants are asked to submit a carefully prepared application with a photo and letters of recommendation.
We wish to thank Joel Halverson for his generous donation of funds raised by raffling his custom knives at APBT events. The $1,000.00 scholarship is paid to the financial aids department of the respective college in the name of the student to be used toward school expenses.
The 2025 recipient of ADBA’s Leaders of the Future Scholarship is Sharina Wolfe from Talbott, Tennessee. She will be attending Walter State Community College beginning August 1, 2025 where her main field of study will be Computer IT Networking.
Growing up, Sharina’s parents have been actively involved in ADBA events. Sharina claims that she has been an active participant along side her parents in showing and pulling American Pit Bull Terriers for 15 years. Currently she is a member of the Tennessee Valley Weight Pull club as well as the Georgia APBTA.
Mari Burton, president of the Georgia APBTA writes, “I have had the opportunity to work with Sharina at a various number of shows. Dedicated to the American Pit Bull Terrier, Sharina had trained, pulled and shown many dogs on her own. She is always willing to step up and help with nay job no matter how big or small. I have no reservations about recommending Sharina Wolfe for the ADBA Leaders of the Future Scholarship. I believe Sharina will benefit and uphold the standards of the scholarship and become a productive member of the technology field while representing the American Pit Bull Terrier in a positive light.”
During high school, Sharina played on the volley ball team, and today spends most of her time helping her parents run their kennel, and working part-time at the Dollywood Theme Park.
Sharina writes, “I am very passionate about the breed and have spent most of my life promoting and advocating for the American Pit Bull Terrier. Thank you so much for this opportunity.”
Congratulations, Sharina Wolfe, on being chosen as the recipient of ADBA’s ‘Leaders of the Future’ scholarship for 2025. We wish you success as you continue with your educational goals.
